Hi, thanks for letting us know about this potential rule update.

In order for us to verify this new rule, would you be able to confirm the following, please?

1. Are you referring to the Serbian Superleague?

2. Can you provide any official documents/news about this new rule, please?

Here are official rules.

League will not go down to 14 clubs it stays with 16 and also foreign rules are changed it’s now 4 in first 11 and as mush as you want on bench.

This has already been raised as an issue in earlier testing and expecting to be solved soon

@sergavra Will it be resolved during the beta or will it be resolved on the full version release?

Kinda don't want to play a long term save with that boring rule of 2 under 21 players tho

We sincerely hope so - the coders are working on it, along with several other squad selection issues (including subs and foreign players).

Yes, once we are sure this will be resolved, one of us can send a confirmation in here.

In Superliga and Prva Liga, there should be a 5 from 11 (max of 3 stoppages) rule for the first season.

That is the current rule IRL. Maybe it will be even prolonged in next season as well, depending on covid situation, but that will definitely be globally implemented, not just in Serbia.

I think we can now say this is likely to be fixed in the release version - you will be required to have 2 U21 players in the whole match squad (among the 22 selected players), but only 1 U21 player on the pitch. So, please wait for the release version before you start a long-term save.

I sincerely hope that all squad selection rules will be correct in the release version.

Both issues you have reported should be fine in the release version. Besides this, you should also be able to make 5 subs instead of 3 in season 1.

The only remaining issue to fix is limiting these five subs to three stoppages (as reported by @mrek above) - this outstanding issue is likely to be fixed in a patch. However, it affects only season 1, so it is not too bad.

I think that the 5 subs in 3 stoppages will stay permanently not only 2022/23

Yes, it has already been coded like this - in the FM2023 pre-release version it is already like this.

No - there is no bug. If you go to FM2023 and check this rule, you can see that everything is working properly: max of 5 subs in 3 stoppages in season 1, season 2, and so on.
