help! cant load game

This is strange, i never had this problem. After saving the game last time and closing FM, now i cant load it! It says "Cannot open game" no matter what i do itr always says it! Why is this?

Sounds like its corrupt. Do you have any backups?

Or it could be down to going back to an older patch.

no i dont have any backups... this has only happen 2 times

The first yes, it created a backup, but now nothing the whole season...

this is why ya should always use the "3 file rolling autosave" option that way it creates 3 files, so youve always got a back up to go back to!!

well a little help: i had the "compress games" option on. What does that mean?

Also i need to change to 3 files? Or incremental? help

3 files rolling auto save is the best one i reckon... and the compress saved games thing just means it compacts the game when it saves it, so it takes up less hd space

The incremental autosave will save games as dates. So everytime it saves it will create a new save named after the date it was saved on. Only use this if you have loads of HD space. I currently use 3 file autosave but also using incremental for an experiment, having one save for every year gone.

i think the incremental save makes a completely new file every time, so you could end up with a lot of saved game files!!! that 3 file one does just that, saves it, saves another called v1 and another called v2

Incremental makes a new save every time it autosaves. It won't re-use an old save. Always creates a new one.
