Smurf
To be honest - buying from Currys is not a great idea when your budget is so massive. Would www.pcspecialist.co.uk would be able to get a fantastic laptop for that price. Would that be ok?

For 1500 euros, you can get top of the line. So, idk why you posted that laptop in your OP. You want to look for processor speed and ram. You want an i7. You want at least 8gb of RAM. Graphic cards would come next. Graphics card is important for gaming, but FM doesn't require a heavy duty graphics cards. So you can get away with a middle of the road one. PC Specialist deliver to Ireland - although depending on the build it can take up to 12 weeks (max) maybe that's not in your timescale? Let us know what's important to you on this Screen size - 15 inch or 17 inch? Having loads of leagues loaded? 3D Graphics? Portability or will sit in the corner? Anything else? Dabs.ie are really reliable - will look there for you.

Smurf
Both are excellent high end processors. The 970m is better than the 870m - but both are quality.
