Editing a chairman

Hi,

I've edited the chairman of a club outside of the English league structure. Ie- just outside of the Conference North/South. Basically so they will one day be promoted (see dafuge challenege).

The only changes I made were to name, dob and nationality.

When I start a new game and search for the chairman, he isn't in the game. I've tried on a large database in England with all leagues loaded and even added more players in England via the custom options.

The edit file is working as all other changes are appearing. Just the chairman is missing.

Any ideas? I've tried messing with reputation and ability but nothing seems to force him to appear in the game .....

Couple of questions:

1. Did you load the standard database down to Conference North/South, or did you load one of those 'English Leagues down to Level 10' database files?

2. If you loaded a custom lvl 10 database, did you edit and create the chairman on that file or did you create him on the standard database?

I think, could be wrong as I've not tried this yet, that if you create a non player on the standard database and they are below the playable leagues selected, the game will generate new staff members for the team when they become playable, especially if you have 'add key staff' ticked in the game setup.

If that is true then the only way around it will be to edit him onto a 'down to level 10 ' database and load that when you start the game. I know that kind of defeats the purpose of the challenge but it might be the only workaround.

Just a standard database. I basically want the team to get promoted to the lowest payable league (as standard) with a newly created chairman in place.

Right, I thought so. Do you start the games with 'Add key staff to teams' ticked?

I tried with and without and got the same result.

Go to Advanced (when picking database size) and add Division > Regional Premier Leagues.
