Shake Appeal
I play with a lone DLF. The whole point of him is to get assists for onrushing midfielders, inside forwards, wingers. He consistently plays the roles I ask him and racks up through balls and assists. He should not be mentally punished for doing what he's supposed to do. Thebaker
Maybe but fans and media are fickle. Emile Heskey playing for England is an example of this. Criticised for not scoring but clearly was doing something right for the manager as he kept getting picked.
sosasoser
The England National team might not be the best example you want to go with unless you're saying that the media and fans have unrealistic expectations for them and the team really shouldn't be expected to win anything. CityAndColour
Maybe but fans and media are fickle. Emile Heskey playing for England is an example of this. Criticised for not scoring but clearly was doing something right for the manager as he kept getting picked. I doubt Heskey would have been affected if he knew his role though. The player's morale can drop when he's not scoring which can be annoying when it's not his primary role.
