Any plans to make Youth Rating dynamic in FM15

Recommended Posts

Youth ratings are already dynamic, it's just that as irl major changes in the culture of youth development take a generation or more to happen.

So they are dynamic? This has been asked a lot before, and we've never had a clear answer, the general opinion was that the youth rating is static. If it is dynamic, then that's a great job as it reflects what can happen in real life. I imagine a team that consistently does well can have it's youth rating improved, etc.

A single team will always be dynamic because youth facilities & recruitment can be improved at a faster rate however a single successful team is highly unlikely to trigger a wholesale improvement in the quality of players other than at that club & as such they will have little to no impact on the ability of players at a national level.

but can it be assumed that a small nation that has risen up through coefficients, therefore having more clubs at a higher standard and with more money and improving their facilities will as a collective start an upwards shift in the rating of at least some youths in the country?

That would be correct but do not expect a nation like Iceland to start producing players at the same level as Spain just because a few of the top division clubs have broken into the Top 20 clubs in Europe, population & importance of game will still act as limiting factors.

So say you spent 200 seasons in Gibraltar, and in that time the success you've brought has made it one of the best leagues in the World, with clubs with top facilities, then the youth rating associated with the country will increase?

I was indeed talking about the Youth Rating of a Nation. For example, can a mid-sized European nation with a youth rating of 94 eventually say raise it to 114 if clubs improve their facilities and the nation does well in several international tournaments? Response much appreciated, thanks very much for your posts so far.
