    I'd do double group stage, 8 games for the winners: 12 groups of 4, top 2 qualify (24 qualifiers) 8 groups of 3, group winners qualify QF SF Final

    Africa have very good teams that don't qualify every time (Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Egypt etc) and deserve the 9 places they'll get next time, if not more.

    Don't have an issue with more teams, particular from Africa who deserve many more spots, but hard no to three team groups - this has been done before (e.g. 1982) and everyone knows the issues. Do twelve groups of four, top teams and four best second placed teams go through.

    They were excellent in qualifying too, they don't concede much.

    Waste of an incredible generation sticking with Martinez for so long. They should have been winning tournaments with this team.
