Guest
I am managing Eastleigh in the BSS and the Wrexham job in the BSP became vacant and I received a news item saying I was favourite for the job and was asked to comment on the speculation (Say I was interested, say i was not interested or no comment). I quite liked the idea of being Wrexham boss but didn't want to upset my board so I said no comment. I didn't get the job (Robbie Savage did!) so I am wondering what is the effect of saying you are interested. Do your board get the hump and maybe even sack you? In the same game I previously managed Hyde, lost in the play-offs and not long after applied for the Bournemouth job was sacked immediately.
CaptainPlanet
Depends on the board, if you declare interest of apply for the job they can range from doing nothing to issuing you a warning to sacking you.
rotku
Does saying you're not interest mean you don't get offered the position or does it depend on the team with the vacancy? In 08 I was often offered managerial positions but I have always said I wasn't interest for fear of being sacked.
