Moving game saves from pc to laptop

Recommended Posts

I've started a game, few seasons in, on my desktop computer but have now got myself a laptop. Do i now have to start a new game or is there any way i can move the save game over to the laptop once i've installed it? I've heard you can email the save to si and they can somehow help you transfer it over. Any help much appreciated :)

You can just transfer it over yourself by putting it on a memory stick (or a blank CD) & taking it from one PC to another & then put it into the "games" folder in your FM folder. Just make sure that they have the same version of the game running (same patch).

I've just done it myself recently. I just copied my whole "Football Manager 2009" folder from the My Documents>Sports Interactive path on my PC onto the same path on my laptop. In reality you will only need your database and your save game file. You'll have to do this anytime you want to switch back with the updated save.
