AJ1
Im currently managing Manchester United, and i've done the quadruple for two seasons running. So i've been offered the England job, which i've accepted and its split between me managing at Man Utd and England. I need an Assistant Manager, and want to appoint Mike Phelan (Asst at Man U) to the National Team, if i offer him the job, will it also be a split between club and country? or will he leave Man U and just work for England? 4457
Yes, coaches can also work with both club and country. Neil Banfield is at Arsenal and also works for Ireland, or at least in FM08.

Bubsa
And on the same logic, you can sign national team coaches without a club contract for your club, and they will combine the role for both club and country.
Ozzy38
I nearly always appoint my club staff as they're usually the best.
phnompenhandy
Yeh, the sensible thing to do is just appoint all your own club staff since they rarely refuse, don't cost anything and are in no way detrimental to your club career.
Ozzy38
I have used managers as international assistant managers, but then they never take another managerial job, so probably best to avoid it if you care for realism.
