FC Lake Zurich
First, I love the game. This is only a minor annoyance. I'm currently Preston North End, 2010-11 friendlies. So I get asked to play a home friendly against Arsenal Reserves. Cool, no problem, I'll give their lads a run out (now they win plenty of cup matches with this team). Anyway, the media expects me to win, my fans expect me to win. And who do I face in this "reserves" squad... starting 11: Adebayor, Van Persie, Walcott, Goran Pandev, Song, Ramsey, Traore, Toure, Djourou, Silvestre and Almunia I lost 5-1 and my team morale dropped and my fans are mad...I wish I could call a press conference and yell at them "That's no %$^% reserves team we lost to"
Micado
Bugger, well if that is there reserves, who are playing in the first team;)
SparkoVanBasten
I like my reserves and U18s to play my 1st team in pre-season along with a non-league club. Normally do a minni league competition. I have noticed my AssMan's reserves usually beat my first team. How embarrassing!
DecadentSympozium
Bugger, well if that is there reserves, who are playing in the first team;) I has got to be that new "Players from team A free for play, select players to play for reserves" option. Computer throws them into reserves and basically plays with first team.
pnefc22
Well done, managing Preston What made you choose them? What league are you in and how are you doing?
bean824
Barnet (my team) play a friendly with Arsenal XI every season IRL. Arsenal always throw in a couple of first-teamers into the team. Maybe their XI IRL is similar to their reserves in the game.
robbiejlove
In real life, Finn Harps reserves beat the first team in their two meetings during the past season.
FC Lake Zurich
Langman-- I started at Millwall and during my second season got offered the Preston job. We finished 11th in the Championship in 2009-10, though I joined mid season.
4457
To be fair, them playing first-teamers increases the attendance, so it's still good news financially.
FC Lake Zurich
It didn't really help, we had 2465 attendance while 14000 for Everton and 9000+ for Wigan and Bolton (all friendlies). Apparently noone bought tickets because they didn't expect to see anything.
