IbrahimAliMaher
On my FM08 game I noticed Ronaldo had a rubbish average rating for Portugal. Perplexed, I decided to investigate and discovered that the national team manager 'Felipao' AKA Big Phil Scolari to you and me had a favourite formation of 4-1-3-1-1. Of course Ronaldo would not really fit into that formation, which I reckon led to his rubbish ratings. First of all, I'm sure no top manager would attempt to constantly shoehorn one of the best players in the world into a system that didn't suit him? Secondly, from watching Portugal myself and also Chelski this season, I would say Big Phil's favourite formation was more like 4-1-2-2-1 (or 4-3-3 to simplify) or perhaps even 4-2-3-1, but he tends to play with wingers which you don't have in his preferred system. I'd be interested to know what his preferred formation is in FM09, and whether anyone else would agree SI got this wrong?

crouchaldinho
Same as Ronaldo de Assis is known as Ronaldinho (little Ronald) Yes, this is correct, so perhaps now you can see the irony in my choice of username.
Egon
Well technically it means Little Crouchald. Crouchinho would be Little Crouch. -------- Egonao
crouchaldinho
I suppose that is true but I mainly picked this username for the irony of making Crouch sound like Ronaldinho.
