Matt ex SEGA
Do you get an error on startup? Or just, nothing? I'd suggest raising a ticket with customer services. http://help.sega.com/?group=englishuk&t=EnglishUK

Matt ex SEGA
I'm not familiar with that issue, sorry. Definitely customer services for you, please!
Cannibal
It causes my Acer to dramatically overheat and shut down sometimes. The only program that does that. I have bought a USB cooling fan thing to slide underneath it to counter this.
Burkinapreto
I have exactly the same problem...program runs but nothing appears on the screen...
Neil Dejyothin
The problem you have is Football Manager is designed for screen resolution of 1024 x 768 and upwards but you have the unusual screen resolution of 1024 x 600, which unfortunately is a tradeoff for buying a more affordable laptop. I don't think there's a great deal you can do about this sadly. Perhaps you could buy a standalone monitor as the graphics card in theory can support up to 1600 x 1200, but you won't achieve that on your laptop's LCD display. bazzer86
iv used astray to emulate 1024x768 and still when i load it goes black and then says error, and i need to send that error report thingy, anyone know the problem?
bazzer86
ok so i have figured it out. try with demo first to see if it works, saving buying or installing the full game if you have it already. so first install game then download astray plus from here http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=18260 then set the resolution using astray to 1024x768 then right click on shortcut of fm, in target type -windowed -small_screen (make sure there is a space after the quote, otherwise wont work) so it should look like this "C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\fm2009.exe" -windowed -small_screen then it should work, only problem is that it is quite slow, the speed of the game is the same as any machine, but the loading time, mouse response, and button clicking response is slowed down

It worked fine now on my acer 150. The application that u recomended also works but i dont like the screen. Because it doesnt fit. Because the screen doesnt fit i must play with the mousepointer the whole time. I play now with the standard resolution of my laptop 1024x600 but with the changes that u recomended in the target of the shortcut. And now it works fine. Thx for ur help !!
