Glyn
Without knowing what you're trying to run it on, it's very hard to say why it's running slowly or what the cure is.
T4RG4
Do you know how much memory (RAM) your computer has at the moment? Do you know what speed your machine is? If you dont know those, can you say how old it is? Desktop or Laptop machine?

RyanBRFC
1GB will be enough but, 1GB is soon becoming the 512mb of today, I'd recommend getting 2GB, Thats of course if you have the money and the required slots on your motherboard
Scott McC
RAM and processor will help with the loading aspect. But I'd recommend 2GB of RAM if you can afford it. Are you running Windows Vista?
Fusss
i just upgraded from 1gb to 2gb ram today, performance is already noticably better, can actually watch 3d now without getting frustrated!
