petersmithie
Have you done any benchmarking regarding the speed of FM2009 to FM2008? Is it similar? I am guessing it is, because from what I have seen the actual processing hasn't changed that much. Although the transfers module may have made a slight difference? I realise we will need more power for the actual 3d matches we watch (speaking of 3D will a macbook's graphics card run this? it is a built in intel one), but has the background game engine (i.e. the computer vs computer in different leagues) changed much? petersmithie
Well I thought it would mainly be finished, just testing to do really. A game as variable as FM would need at LEAST two months testing, don't you think?
SI Staff Ter Posted September 5, 2008 SI Staff Share Posted September 5, 2008 We may be in a better position to give out information regarding this once the game has been fully optimised and completed
SmurfDude
They still have a lot of work to do on the 3D match view, so I imagine there will be a lot of overtime during the next couple months

It's being tested all the time, and will be tweaked and polished (and bashed with hammers no doubt) right up until it goes gold.
petersmithie
Thanks Ter, can you hazard a *rough* guess? Or tell me when the code will be optimsed? I am guessing you are all such fan dabby dozy programmers and the code you write is so optimised in the first instance, that their is not too much optimisation to do
petersmithie
Actually, thinkin on; apart from the GUI stuff wouldn't it be really easy to automate the tests?
