michaeltmurrayuk
- Unzip the file first. - Put the unziped file into the Skins folder in your User Data Folder (My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/skins by default) - Load the game up, goto the Preferences -> Display & Sound menu, select your skin from the dropdown menu (if its not their, turn off the skin cache and tick always reload skin on confirm, click confirm/ok, go back to the Preferences menu and it should now be selectable. oldhammad
what if the file comes up as an internet file?
radestock
Are you saying you've got a html file? Does it load up properly in your browser when you open it? If it does then it's not a skin you've got. Otherwise (ie if it says it's not a valid html file) it might be that your file associations are messed up and you actually do have a .zip file or a .rar file. You won't need to worry about that though if you're just extracting stuff. If it's a .zip file then you should be able to just right click it and choose 'extract all' or something similar. If it's a .rar file then you'll need to install a seperate program: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzip/7z457.exe Download that then install it. Now right click on the .rar file and choose '7-Zip' -> 'extract here'. Move the files you extract to the location mentioned earlier in this thread.
