bolulu
I have just fallen foul of this thing again. From the recommendation from the team meeting (I get about 5 status change recs. every meeting) I reduced one step the status of my goalie (who was going through a bad patch. He complaind & the interview goes pear-shaped & now he wants to leave. I really didn't want this. Can anyone ever tell me if there are ever any positive connotations to accepting the change in status recommendation; up or down? My intention is to totally avoid this repeated, potentially dangerous, advice in future.

Kenco
If you have a player set as first team but is getting less and less game time, then changing him down to squad rotation or even back up may mean he is happier to sit on the bench and not demand first team football. But as already mentioned, it's only advice and you don't have to take it.
