Adding/removing view only leagues in game

I like the new feature of being able to change which leagues are playable in-game, however I can't seem to change leagues I have as "view only". Am I doing something wrong or is this not possible?

Can you remove them and then add them again immediately? I don't use view only but this would be the first thing i'd try. If this doesn't work there must be a way or the feature is a waste.

Removing or adding a new league to your current savegame only takes effect on the season update day of the particular league you chose to add/remove, for instance, you're playing in England and add Spanish Primera let's say, somewhere in January, the Spanish Primera will become available in June 20th, but if, until then you decide to remove it before that date, you haven't changed nothing in your savegame, but if you remove it in June 21st, then you'll have to wait for the next season in Spanish Primera to end to see this extra league removed. Simple? I guess it is.

But I like better the ideia of changing the leagues that are running in background as "view only" and change them to "playable" and later on as "view only" back again as many times you'd like.
