eplkewell
I just purchased the game through Steam earlier today... However, I haven't seemed to be able to pre-install it yet so that I can play it as soon as it activates. Am I missing something? It seems like it should be simple. slipknot67
right click FM12 on the library list. click view pre-load info, then pre-load button. Or you can just double left click and it should force the files to start pre-loading. That's how a did it when I couldn't find a pre-load tab on the library screen. eplkewell
I tried restarting Steam, and now it says Steam cannot connect to the network.
captain_video
The pre-load button should appear immediately below where it says "Football Manager 2012" in the right-hand side of the client window. A double-left mouse click on the game name in the library should also work. If neither of those work, restart your Steam client. If that doesn't change anything either, you would have to open a Steam support ticket. If you purchased directly from Steam, they sometimes have an issue with payments. EDIT: If your network connection is having problems, just keep trying.
slipknot67
Sounds to me like an anti-virus conflict. You should make sure steam is added to the exceptions list on your anti-virus programme to make sure it's not stopping steam from connecting to the servers.
