X-O-X-Tactics
I thought we would be able to save custom match highlights to our desktops in a viewable file? Am I doing something wrong? I have saved the custom highlight I wanted as a test and have gone to the correct folder but it is an OGV file and I'm not able to watch it.

Kriss
Should be a pkm file, run us through exactly what you're doing please?
X-O-X-Tactics
Should be a pkm file, run us through exactly what you're doing please? I go to the upload highlights menu. I go to custom highlights. I select 1 highlight for testing purposes. I click export and it encodes and it says where the "video" is. I have chosen upload to YouTube and it says failed due to be unable to covert video file.
Kriss
OGV is correct for upload files, not sure what the issue is here. Would be good if somebody else could try this, in the meantime I'll have a play:)

Should a OGV file be able to upload to YouTube then?
Glenn Wakeford
Hi guys. To clear this up: RECORDING highlights will output an .ogv file, which can be played using VLC player. You can get it here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ They'll play like an ordinary video file, outside of FM. Saving a match will save the PKM file, but recording or exporting highlights locally, or to YouTube will use .ogv files.

Glenn Wakeford
It'll also play in other video players if you have the codec installed I believe, but VLC ships with it (and is generally very good) so that's what we recommend.

Any reason why my upload directly to YouTube would of failed? Error on my part?
Glenn Wakeford
I'm not sure. Were you signed in correctly? Did you have the file open elsewhere when you selected to upload? What stage exactly did it fail at? Also ensure you don't have any firewalls or anything like that that could be restricting access to fm.exe accessing the internet.
