noikeee
Any ideas on how to deal with this, other than selling the player? It's damaging his performance.
Sikker
If he is young (21 or below) you can tutor him by a suitable player (24 or older) that has high pressure.
noikeee
In this case, can't be done. He's 24 and the highest rated player in the whole squad by my assistant manager...
elland road boo boys
Also if playing him in matches you can use "There is no preesure" on him in the teamtalks
BiggusD
What is his age? Could you tutor him? If not, the player is very likely lacking what it takes to handle the pressure of playing in top clubs. If you really want to keep him despite this, I suggest setting the asking price to 4x value or more. Also, never comment on media speculation about interest in him ("hands off" is doing the opposite of what you think it does), and never comment on AI managers trying to bully the player off your hands. The less you say to the media (without knowing perfectly well what the outcome will be) the better. Especially when unprofessional or weak-minded players are involved. pigfacemonkeyman
Set his asking price to 200m. Never flatly refuse a bid and always counter with 200m & 50% of future fee. Never comment about media speculation unless you have tried that already and it hasn't worked. Sometimes in this case a 'Hands Off' warning can help. Basically, ignore comments from managers seeking to upset him and refuse to speculate over a player under contract in press conferences. Then give him a shoulder massage and a glass of Irn Bru.
