Michael Hopcroft
I'm wondering about 2011, which I haven't purchased yet, and have a question -- is it possible to manage Portland's MLS club (the Timbers) in 2011 or will it have to wait for the 2010 edition? Another question is how the game models the phenomenon of the home stadium providing an advantage? Portland has won all four of their home league games so far, but those are the only games they've won. Away they have only been able to manage one draw and three losses. The only game they've dropped at Jeld-Wen field is a 1-0 US Open Cup qualifier against San Jose. Clearly the home crowd has an energizing effect on the TImbers, so how van FM dupkicate that? megafan2005
Not sure about your first question but yes FM models results based on real-life so expect an advantage whilst playing at home!
SCIAG
You'll need to edit the MLS to play as them, or put them in in the place of an established side. Home advantage is in the game.
looknohands
Better off just waiting the six months or so if you want to play as Portland. I play exclusively with MLS and many have tried (and failed) to really find a way of incorporating the expansion teams without messing up the league.
