B team problem

So I'm playing as Atletico Madrid, and my B team is the second division and stacked full of young prospects i've signed and am developing.

And then, I get a message saying that the board of the B team have released a few of them to cut wages. And of course, none of them are interested in re-signing for me.

Is this realistic, a bug? Surely I should have at least been offered the chance to move them up, or even dump them in the U-19's if necessary. I certainly should NOT be losing a bumper crop of young talent.

It's a bug and a pretty big one in terms of B Team management. Head over to the Bugs Forum and if you've got a save-game handy before the issue happened, then they'll want to take a look at that to see what's happened behind the scenes.

B Teams have never been nailed in FM, theres always issues in every release, but the more bugs you raise, the more 'ironed' out they'll be for the next release

Definite, someone i know who lives near SI office over heard some of the guys while they were out for a fag.

Don't bother playing the Spanish league. The whole concept is screwed up. Unless you don't really care about the issues with B team than carry on playing.
