exchange of players

Many times have I tried to exchange players. In order to beef up my offer, I have tried to add to my proposal a player for exchange, in a position in which there is demand from the other team. Nevertheless I have never succeeded in exchanging players, even if the player I offer is of good quality, and even if the total amount of my offer (cash+player's nomilnal value) exceeds the demands of the other team.

I must be missing something here. Any help?

I'm experiencing similar problems, it's pretty annoying. Both players in the exchange have problems with their managers, are looking to move and both teams have a clear need for these players. Both players are good (not world beaters, but great back-up at the very least for any team), have almost identical value, I'm even offering some money to make the switch even more lucrative and both clubs have similar reputation and play in the champions league. There's no managerial conflicts either. I don't understand why these transfers never work.

I was able to do an exchange deal with one of my players that was wanted by the other team. I offered him and no money for one of their players and they accepted.

Onyl managed once, and the player I got was quality too, but besides the player that I exchange, I've also paid around 12M to get him.

I have the opposite problem I always have the offer accepted and then it fells down because my player does not want the contract offered by the other club
