Football Manager 2011 Demo 11.0.0f152451 has stopped working....

Hi, I have been playing the demo so far without any problems, but I just tried playing my saved game (and a new game too!) and got this same error message. Anyone know how to fix it?

This has happened to me on numerous occasions as well!

Was happening with the DEMO for me too. Just play in Windowed Mode and you it won't happen again.

I've got this problem to. Windowed mode is "greyed out" for me though, have tried changing the resolutions but that doesnt work. Have had a look on the FAQs and tried those solutions, but still get this message occasionally. Thanks

It's greyed out for me too. Try Alt+Enter while in game. If that doesn't do, then change your resolution, so you can choose Windowed Mode. You need to put resolution that has more then 768 pixels in height.

That's strange. Playing in Windowed Mode sorted it out for me. I hope you guys solve this problem as I know how annoying it is.

Thanks, it doesnt happen all the time just sometimes happens randomly for me so I've got into the habit of saving the game each week just in case. Hopefully a solution will become available for this problem though.

Hey, this solved the same problem for me mate:

For XML Issues and crashes when clicking on players, please delete your settings folder as described below:

First of all you need to turn on hidden files and folders.

XP:

My Computer

'Tools'

'Folder Options'.

The go to the 'View' tab and select 'Show hidden files and folders'

Windows Vista and Windows 7:

My Computer

'Organize'

'Folder and Search Options'.

The go to the 'View' tab and select 'Show hidden files and folders'

Once this is done, follow the instructions below:

Windows XP:

1. Open “My Computer”

2. Navigate to : “Documents and Settings\<Username>\Application Data\

3. Go into the “Sports Interactive” Folder.

4. Delete the “Football Manager 2011” Folder.

Windows Vista and Windows 7:

1. Click “Start”

2. Click your username on the start Menu

3. Click on “AppData” and then “Roaming”

4. Go into the “Sports Interactive” Folder

5. Delete the “Football Manager 2011” Folder.

I hope that gets fixed in the first patch as I would like to play in Full Screen mode.
