Club Reputation (AI)

What effects does an AI's club reputation have on the game world? Does the higher an AI clubs reputation is mean that it is more likely to attract better quality players to its club when competing in the transfer market? Will a club with high rep produce better quality youth players?

Also, what it the maximum reputation I can give a club via the database editor?

I've set clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid to 9999 rep (about 1000 higher than the next highest club), will this mean Barca and Madrid will most likely dominate the game for a prolonged period because their reputation is way ahead of everyone elses?

You're right that a higher reputation team will attract better players but that isn't the only thing that players take into account. I'm not sure bout the editor question so I can't give an answer there.

it means pretty much as it does in real football. A higher rep club will always attract better players. It doesnt necessarily mean they will dominate due tothe rep, but more due to more than likely signing the best players.Alot of weaker teams get 'overawed' by higher rep clubs so you have that advantage, however, the down side is sometimes the higher rep sides get complacent.

im sure 10000 is the highest number for rep in FM.

So over all, yes rep does effect the game and the players teams can buy, the AI rep works exactly as the user rep would
