Moonshine
The rules for each period of the Jupiler League claim that: 1st in the 1st period 1st and 2nd in the second period 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the 3rd period and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the 4th period Go through to the playoffs, plus the remainder in the overall positions in the league. However, I finished 13th in the league last season, but 2nd in the 4th period and am not in the playoffs. Instead, positions 2nd to 8th are. Why is this? sporadicsmiles
I think it is the winner of the six periods, and then then best place two teams who have not already qualified in the periods qualify for the playoffs.
Tyler
The winner after each period claims a spot in the promotion/relegation playoffs. If you finished anything other than 1st you won't get a spot, unless the period winner has already won a previous period then it would be award to the next team who doesn't have a spot. Jordi_FCDB
Tyler is right. Also the 6th team will be in the play-offs if a period winner finished in the top 5, if there's another one in the top 5 the 7th will participate too etc. etc.
