Can't tutor my young players

Hi All,

I'm in my second year at Nott'm Forest. After getting to the Prem and signing some decent young players and a couple of older ones to tutor them I have come across an annoying problem - I can't tutor them!

Example - I managed to get Yann M'Vila and Patrick Viera. Both French, play the same position, one young up and coming and one old war horse. I signed Viera just to tutor M'Vila, but when I interact with M'Vila he has no linked players to learn from.

I thought initially that it was because they had both just signed for the club so left it for a while. I'm now half way through the season but I still can't tutor M'Vila. M'Vila is 20 so should not be too old to tutor - I think.

Anyone have any ideas or help?

According to my playing experience...

If you don't have an older player who is better than him, you can't tutor him

Maybe M'Vila has higher CA than Vieira

I have the same problem. Dont have a solution though im afraid

I think you can't tutor players if their squad status is other than "Hot Prospect" or "Decent Youngster".

Try changing his squad status.

Yea, I think you cannot tutor players who vae a certain ability already.

You can .. but the Youngster's squad status has to be lower than the Tutor's. Also the reputation of the Youngster has to be lower than the Tutor's.

So a Tutor with 'Regional' reputation cannot tutor a 'World Class' Youngster

Also CA of the Tutor has to be higher than the Youngster's I believe.
