na3c0 Posted April 25, 2010 Share Posted April 25, 2010 Hi, Has anyone ever had a similar situation like this happen? I'm playing Milan and Italy in 10.3 and in the middle of Euro 2016. Pirlo has his planned international retirement on June 26 2016 but he's still pretty much in the national squad in Euro Finals. I played him in the group matches and intended to give him his last match in the Final which also is on June 26th. However on June 26th the media announced his retirement and he just... left the squad before the Final match kicks off!! That really... sucks, IMO. No player would quit during the competition like that. IRL, all planned retirement always takes place after a competition if he's still a part of his nation's squad. na3c0 Posted April 25, 2010 Author Share Posted April 25, 2010 Yeah, it is. I planned to make his match special as it would be the Final and his 100 cap, but oh well... What's sad about this is the player express his regret in his retirement announcement about being unable to make 100 cap for the nation while he absolutely could.
