Sekonda
Is there any practical advice on how to reduce financial constraints on the club as quickly as possible?
Brian Shanahan
Cut wages, sell players, reduce/replace staff. On wages the best place to start is in your reserves, if you have reserve level players on high wages get rid of them. On selling you're looking for good money, so you might be selling good prospects or first-teamers. On the staff it is best to find a person of similar wages looking for less money (maybe reduction of reputation) and if you have multiple staff you're not using e.g. 7 physios, or more scouts than available regions, then a cull is a good idea (even if you can affor them). PitchPosh
The biggest thing that will hurt you is overpaid players and, like Fausto stated, player purchases strung over 48 months. If you're a bigger club you should look to create commercial links with other clubs. I've never crunched the number on how much it helps, but it can't hurt.
