RandomManager
Okay, well my team score and concede a tremendous amout of goals. Some resent games 5-5, 3-3, 3-2, 4-2. Well I was wondering whether playing a AMR in MR position affects your defending but gives you more attacking options. My midfielders is AML AMC, AMC AMR none of them are natural midfields. Does this affect my chances of managing to keep a clean sheet?
dz47
what is your overall formation? If i am understanding you correctly and you don't have any players at MC or DM positions, then yes that would definitely reduce your chances of keeping a clean sheet
crouchaldinho
Very much depends on the formation as dz47 says. I play 4-2-3-1 with AMR/AML/AMC and two DMs shielding the defence.
TheRealMagpies
AMR is not the same as MR, im assuming your winger has a RED dot when placed there, so the game will treat him as being played out of position sounds like you have a 'score 1 more goal than them' formation/philosphy in place, even if thats not what your intention was
qqq
A DM is a great help in this game, try to get one with high workrate and good stamina. And two, as Crouchaldinho uses would be very safe.
gunner86
Even in a flat 4 midfield I try to avoid playing 2 AMC's in the MC role.
khriztian
If the player is AMR only, he will perform awful as MR, in FM2010. In previous versions (FM08, 07...) where arrows worked, an AMR would play fairly well as MR with an arrow to AMR.

And that can be improved by training to MR
RandomManager
They all play ML, MC, MR but they are all attacking midfielders playing in those positions. I tryed to change tatics around to see i we could concede less but nope. I was just thinking if they were more attacking minded so we had a less defensive team. Also they are all accomplished playing in MC etc.
