We should keep discussion of the "real" list to OTF but how about those long-term players? What's your FM/CM top team? Forget about how they turned out in real life - your best team for FM/CM.

CM01/02 (my first) had such amazing players as John Welsh, England's best DM, super-sub To Madiera, and the God-like Ruud van Nistelrooy, who coincidentally makes the "real" list too, and the must-have freebie at the start of the game Taribo West. The unstoppable Rivaldo, the exquisite Zidane, and the untapped potential of Danny Cadamarterie, Francis Jeffers and Michael Ricketts.

FM07, possibly the easiest version of FM for me, saw pre-fat Ronaldo ruling, with Lucio probably the greatest defender ever and Ryan Giggs still delivering the magic. But my favourite player on this game, and FM08, has to be Miroslav Klose, who would bag me 40 goals a season no matter which team I played as.

Or FM10's C. Ronaldo, David Villa, Aguero, Chiellini; wunderkids like Bojan?
