If you look in [FM] > [Game Status] the game version should show 10.1 The game version is still 10.0.0 80381 and there is no stephen carr in the game, so obviously it isn't updated.. Do i need to restart the laptop OR reinstall FM10? you need to RUN the patch mate; it will unpack and install itself, and you should see little FM2010 Installer (or something) pop-up, when you double-click on the patch icon!
