SY85
Hi Guys I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem i am currently having. I am trying to install FM07 on to my new macbook pro without success. As far as i know there are 2 setup files on the disc... "install football manager 2007 mac.command" and "Setup.jar" Neither appear to work. Am i doing something wrong? If i use the mac.command this happens... Initializing InstallShield Wizard... Searching for Java Virtual Machine... ................................... .........................No Java Runtime Environment (JRE) was found on this system. logout [Process completed] and if i use setup.jar it installs ok but i get this error at the end saying: THE INSTALLSHIELD WIZARD HAS SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED FOOTBALL MANAGER 2007, CHOOSE FINISH TO EXIT THE WIZARD HOWEVER THE FOLLOWING WARNINGS WERE GENERATED. CHECKING REQUIRED DISC SPACE REQUIRES FILE SERVICE NATIVE SUPPORT Then the icons dont work... I am new to all this mac stuff, so i dont really know what it all means... Any help would be greatly appriciated. Cheers SY85
Neji
Well, from the first error, it just looks like you need to install Java. As I'm not a Mac user, I'm not sure where you can get it but a Google search should reveal the answer.
SY85
Javas website says that a mac user downloads the latest java update from their system update application... this says that it is up to date! In regards to the googling... i have tried that with no success. but thanks anyway...

teej9
It may be a problem with non compatibility with the current OS. Also the game has to be designed for the intel processor on newer models. I suspect FM 07 is designed for the Power PC cores.
Hanson
I've had a my Macbook Pro for 4+ years and played 07 on it no problem. Are you using Snow Leopard? Maybe that's the problem.
FM_Livung
Yeah i am using snow leopard my macbook is only 4 months old. I've run fm2008 on it but i presume because that uses stream that that is different. I prefer playing 2007 though and want to try that and i cant get it working. It is so infuriating, I've got so far as to let it be installed but then when i open it up all i get i is a black screen
