Mr Useless
I've just finished a season where I conceded 7 or 8 goals where a defender deflected a shot past my keeper - none of them were own goals, but I think my keeper would have stopped them all but for the deflection. The weird thing is that it has been the same defender in every case. Is this: 1. Simply bad luck/coincidence, or 2. Something in his attributes which makes him liable to do this? If it's 2, what is the attribute weakness that causes it?
pyewackett
There is also moral and pressure. That's what I think it is. IMO 90% it's just bad luck. Or; the other team/other team player played a blinder it was going in regardless. The rare occurance it's pressure as of the event or what you said can also be a factor. There are so many other factors player vs and against playing to intercept/pass/head/etc/etc/. More often than not it happens, and it's just a bad run of luck. The same defender maybe amazing next season.
Grimoz
I base it on positioning of the player, if the player is low on confidence and his positioning is poor then he is more likely to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Roy Race 9
twice in the last month..........I have seen a defender kick the ball against the player in front of him and it resulted in an own goal against me!!!!!!
Mr Useless
I base it on positioning of the player, if the player is low on confidence and his positioning is poor then he is more likely to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I can appreciate the logic of that. But his "Positioning" attribute is 14, which isn't bad.
