homebasedgg
so if you wanted to buy one of their players you could possibly get them cheaper???
gunner4eva
As far as i'm aware it doesnt have much of an impact. It means that it is easier to negotiate a loan deal about one of the clubs players but im not sure about lowering the price for a transfer.
DanGLiverpool
You can also get cheaper deals with players of the other team. E.G. Steve Bruce was selling off a regen winger for 170k. I bid £0, and he accepted it due to our friendship. Unfortunately the player rejected the deal
hazzabee
If you become really good friends with them, over time you gain the knowledge of that managers nationality. For example, Stoichkov and myself were the best of friends and in turn I gained about half knowledge of Bulgaria.
andy g
So if i keep commenting on Ancellotti i will gain knowledge of italy, i did not know this
skingegg
Managers at rival clubs automatically "have a very poor oppinion of you" and will try their hardest NOT to sell you ANY of their players (unless you offer ridiculous amounts of £). Friendly managers will often accept a bid for a player for reasonable amounts of cash. What i do NOT understand is that when a club legend and long time coach (and favoured personel) leave to manage a rival club (eg. G.Neville off to manage Arsenal after 10 yrs of ass man at Man Utd), do they suddenly have "a very poor opinion of me"?
RBF652
That worked for me when I needed a CB on loan. Wenger had a good relationship with me so Nordtveit signed for £0 while other clubs might have payed to have him.
2Pacalypse
i have a question though, when you have a good relationship with a manager the status is always "feels the two of you could become friends" right? or does it actually change to "friends"
