Saxonaitor
This thread comes about after I was reading the manual of FM09. It said: Do however remenber that the more leagues included in a saved game, the slower the save will run. Depending on the abilities of your computer, it may be wise to restrict the number of nations you are running. So does this mean the more nations or leagues? example: Game No 1: Nations: England Leagues: Premiership, Championship Game No 2: Nations: England, Scotland Leagues: Premiership, SPL Which runs quicker? Suzie MUFC
Game number 1 will run quicker. The less nations you load, the less the game has to do overall.
small Mac
Yeah Suzie is right. With each new nation, not only will there be atleast another division to calculate but atleast 1 or 2 cups as well as youth and reserve leagues. And if you added a nation from a different continent, you can add in the extra continental competitions too.
bigdunk
As I understand it, the number of players is far and away the biggest factor in game speed. Yes, extra nations probably cost more than extra leagues within a nation, but it's insignificant compared to the database size and retained players etc.
