Recommended Posts

Hi i hope this is in the right place.

i signed a paraguay stirker. He got a work permit and i can play him but when i went to offer him a new contract i get a message that his work permit was rejected. why did it work the first time but not when i want to offer him a new contract. he is 26 years old and has 25 caps for paraguay. Can anyone tell me if there is something i need to do.

It's probably to do with him not playing in a certain percentage of his coutries international matches. That can be the cause of a player being denied a work permit. I think it's something like 75% of international matches in the last 2 seasons or something. Hope this helps.

Work permit is also only valid for five years, or length of contract (whichever is shorter). If you are willing to lose him for two years loan him to Spanish club. Latin Americans get shorter nationality time in Spain, and only need 760 days in the country for a passport.
