match screen setting up match

My computer exceeeds all the minimum specifications yet when the match is setting up this message appears for far to long. How do i stop it?

Select it as your display mode in display & sound preferences.

I've done both of them, and this still appears for every setting bar 2D classic. It's just the loading time I think, like hints and tips.

Never mind, as Arsenal_2111 said, it doesn't have much affect. You'll probably just have to put up with it.

But if you still want to give it a go, try this:

1. Right click on the FM09 icon on your desktop & select 'properties'.
   
2. In the target field, add "-windowed -small_screen" at the end of the target, with a space between the target & "-windowed -small_screen" & obviously no quotation marks.
   
3. Click ok.
   
4. Double-click the Football Manager 2009 shortcut on your desktop & it should open up in a window.
   

Note: You MUST do this with a desktop shortcut & NOT with fm.exe. Otherwise, it won't work.

when i do that it says '' The name 'windowed' specified in the target box is not valid. make sure the path and file name are correct''

That's it? That's completely different to what I told you to put in. I said to add that bit at the end of the target.

sorry about that ive done it right now, but in windowed mode its still slow what else can i do?

That's as as fast as you'll get it on your current PC I'm afraid, unless you buy more RAM for it.
