The Gaffovski Posted January 13, 2009 Share Posted January 13, 2009 Unfortunately, there is no Defensive Width setting. And in FM 2009, the default defensive width is too narrow, I agree. The only tip I'm aware of is that when full-backs have mentality and closing down on the same level, they seem to tackle more. But still too little. Then there's man-marking which I don't use. Posted January 13, 2009 Share Posted January 13, 2009 I have my full-backs closing down just in their own area so they don't lose position but set "always close down" onto the wingers so they get close to them and don't let them have too much space.
