st1p
Hi everyone, just bought my first version in a few years, so apologies if this is totally ******** to ask. A few games into pre-season I get warned that many of my players are at a high injury risk due to match fatigue. I find this incredibly strange as they have played in 3 games over 10 days, and the 4th game is on day 14. None of the players have been playing the full 90 minutes, and just one have started every game. As you can see from the examples, none of the two have been playing heavy minutes, and they haven't exactly been run into the ground in training either. Is this something I have to take into consideration? Do players suffer from match fatigue from just over 2 hours of football over 14 days? Any help appreciated. Experienced Defender
Given that you are in the pre-season, I guess this match fatigue has to do with players still not being fully prepared in terms of their fitness and match sharpness. Basically, in the pre-season, you need proportionally more physical/fitness training and a bit more intense training workloads, so that players would be able to endure throughout the season. Guest
Carrying on from what @Experienced Defender has said. Are you currently in control of your general training or have you left it to your Assistant Manager?
st1p
I am currently in control. On paper, at least. For pre-season I mostly used the suggested training-programs, although on the "heavier" side. As I have now started the season it doesn't seem to be an issue any longer. Thank you for the reply @Experienced Defender
st1p
Update: Early October (6th), have been able to rotate the squad as I've wanted. Seeing as I only play in the Europa League, it is easy to give players rest. Still, I get warned about high match fatigue. It just doesn't seem right. Currently I have 10 players with that warning, every player having been involved in 3 matches for the last 14 days. Pogba had a minor injury in pre-season (16 days), whilst Depay has been fit the entire time. It doesn't make any sense to me that there should be a "high injury risk" due to "match fatigue" for these players (and several others). Is it a bug? Or is this working as intended? Experienced Defender
Maybe your tactic is too intensive. Post a screenshot of the tactic.
