Club Honours - Manager Stats - Best XI _____________________________________ This all started on LMA Manager 2005 ________________________________________________________________________________________________ The FMC15 save will continue at some stage, I have an idea for what I want to do next with that save. for now though I need to concentrate on this save, have so many idea's for saves and keep getting side tracked. Anyway I am confident in this one and after playing FMC and FMT versions mostly since the choice of between the two was introduced I have decided to give Full Fat a really good go again, as it is going to be a one club save I want to be able to have more control over the club. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ We will start this era in League One and we have replaced the Mk Dons. I have signed 23 players, no players are younger than 30 and they will all be familiar names to you, 3 players were signed from Premier League clubs and the others have all played in the Premier League in the past. Some of those players have also been given staff roles, you will also notice a couple of faces below, the chairman was just random but it just suited my set up. I am looking forward to having a long save. Other players left including Ragnar Klavan and Jesus Navas both retired. Navas has returned to club, he is now assistant manager to our Under 18's. A couple of youth players got some game time, that hasn't happened very much so far in this game, there is another youth player I am keeping an eye on, not made a first team appearance yet but has played for the England under 19's side. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We are at the start of the January transfer window and Monaco have come in with a bid for... We scraped through with a narrow win. A few days later, this happens... A blow for the lad, he wasn't gonna start any Premier League games. Might have included him on the bench and future cup games though. _____________________________________________________________________________________ King Sacked By Tottenham! It didn't last long for Ledley had his beloved Spurs. Dahlberg is out on loan and can't be recalled, we also have a couple of other keepers out on loan and they can't be recalled either, I made an error and never really looked at bringing in a number 2, Dahlberg would obviously be 2nd choice, decided to loan him out so he got some game time, he hasn't actually got very much on loan either. So in the summer I will either offer Dahlberg a new deal and keep him around in case this happens or invest in a new keeper to be long term number 2/challenge Alvarez. Anyway for now we bring in youth keeper Spencer Dinsley... The youth keeper isn't highly rated, I want to keep him around though. He was thrown in when Alvarez was injured and played 10 games. Dahlberg is back from his loan move and will be our number 2, I did have a look at bringing in another keeper to be a long term back up to Alvarez, deals didn't suit as even the keepers around Dahlberg's standard were going to cost far more than I was willing to pay, so no point. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Our expectations for the season. What a great start to the season as Molas bags a hat-trick. Dybala off the mark early on, it got a bit nervy but Foden settled it. Also Foden has replaced Van Dijk as Captain, Richarlison continues as Vice-Captain. So after that great start we then went and lost at home to Watford. _____________________________________________________________________________________ My First Team Squad... The only blip is a home defeat to the Hornets It has been a good start apart from that result, we were behind 3 times against West Ham. Gonna put more focus into youths. So far I have been splashing loads of cash in this save, pay way over the odds for quite a few players. Have also got some real bargains on the way though, Sancho (£25m) and Batarás (£12m) are just 2 examples. Anyway from that under 23's line-up, Bourne, Johnson, Dalton and Senior are now in my first team squad. They don't command starting roles so they are available for the youth side, though Dalton does seem to think he should be getting some starts, haha lad, yeah ahead of Dybala, Werner and Molas, yeah right. I need to bring more English players through to the first team, I will do that by bring them through from our youths but will also look to bring in young English talent from the market, I struggled with registration. I had too many foreign players and had to axe a player from the first team, that player was Moura who I had loan out so that he would get some football, gonna have that problem again as we have a 22 year old Brazilian joining in January, he looks like a real star for us so couldn't pass up the chance, especially at the fee we got him for. Phil Foden Agrees New Deal. So far I was really worried I could lose this lad, I made him captain even though I thought this could be his last season with us. When I clicked to offer new deal I was fully expecting to see red, he wants and fully deserves Champions League football. I was delighted to be able to offer a new deal, I just accepted the terms that were asked lol, this is great news and business for the club. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Paulista To Join Stopsley Utd! £20m deal! He should be a star for us and well for that fee it was easy decision to make this deal. Also the name is a beauty for Stopsley history, if he can live up to anything near the guy in my FM10 save. That would be amazing.......................no pressure or anything though lol _____________________________________________________________________________________ Jadon Sancho! At £25m he is one of my best signings! It is just a shame that he hasn't developed as much as I hoped, it was probably too early in FM. Anyway he probably deserves more game time but I can't actually bring myself to let him go and I have so far managed to talk him in to staying, I want him to stay as always useful to have on bench as he can cover most attacking areas, probably guilty of taking too much notice of the star ratings at times, need to just make sure I give him more time as the start against Zenit proved he can be a star for us. Also in terms of star ratings my FMC15 proved that they don't always mean too much. These two signings bring our January transfers to three with Paulister who joined earlier in the month. Pontus Dahlberg has left the club in a tranfer to Spartak Moscow, so Wildsmith was signed for £3m from Arsenal to replace Dahlberg as our back-up keeper, the other signing is an exciting young player, we signed Dan Fowler from Tottenham for £25m, a big fee for a 16 year old but I want to invest more in young players and we have high hopes that he has a big future for the club and will eventually challenge and take over from Foden. A closer 2nd leg but comfortable progression. Sancho's late goal secures win on the night.. Another big tie in the round saw this. Spurs blew a 3-0 lead In between those legs they beat Chelsea 3-0 in the FA Cup. After the Celtic tie they lost 5-2 to Liverpool and then...... _____________________________________________________________________________________ In the middle of our tie with Troyes we beat Leeds Utd 3-0 in the FA Cup. Then after the Troyes tie we faced Newcastle away, it was a Super Sunday game on Sky Sports, and what a game it was, we served up a thriller. That is now our highest scoring game. After beating Spurs the Scottish champions face another English club. In the FA Cup we host Norwich. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Our Under 23's faced my home town. Some first team players getting some game time, though in fairness Bourne, Johnson and Senior are just fringe players in the first team squad, Fowler not in first team squad just yet but only a matter of time, talking of Fowler he has just turned 17 so his pro contract starts. I have set up 5 affiliate clubs. Dunstable Town, AFC Dunstable and Bergisch Gladbach have been linked for a few seasons now, we were paying them more but I have decided to drop each to a payment of £1m per season, decided to set up link with Brackley Town as we use their ground for most of our under 23 games, and we will pay them a bit extra at £1.8m. Also decided to set up link with Berwick Rangers, have some plans/ideas for them. They are getting £1m per season, all links are set up as long term deals, so for the three English clubs it means they can't play in same division as Stopsley Utd. A tough night in Scotland but Stopsley edge through. It wasn't a great performance and for much of the game it looked like we would be made to rue the chances we wasted in the home leg. As the game looked to be heading to a shoot-out Werner slotted the winner. His initial effort rebounded to him after it was saved, he made no mistake with the second effort and we were through to the last eight. A very poor run-in to the season. A poor end to our FA Cup and Europa League campaigns and very poor in the league, just a terrible switch in fortunes and performances. Stopsley Utd Berwick Youth Candidates and Free Transfers. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Berwick finished 2nd bottom in the Scottish League. Clyde lost the relegation play-off to Brora, Berwick only just avoided that, so nearly threw a spanner in my idea, I did think of doing this with Brackley Town as we are linked in terms of using their ground but not such a good idea with both teams in same country. This is the current Berwick squad, most will be released. Anyway I have had to have a re-think about Berwick, still doing it but for some reason when I moved players to them it gave them massive wage hikes, Gary Senior was given £37k a week Part-Time contract lol I have made them a pro club and given them a bigger bank balance, I have put players on either £350 or £250 a week contracts and given the club £10k a week wage budget, also had to re-think what players Berwick can sign. Now signings will be from us, Berwick youth and I will let club sign players on free transfers, otherwise I will have to keep checking and will have to terminate contracts, just going to make sure the club never has a transfer budget, I think free transfers is gonna be fine anyway and fair enough really. I planned to appoint him before he resigned from Morton, He must have known about my plans lol, I wanted to start off by appointing a Scottish manager, (I know they already had a Scottish manager) had two or three others on a shortlist but when having a look around he just fitted the bill. _____________________________________________________________________________________ I only kept Murrell and Fleming from the first team squad and signed25 players from Stopsley, Duffy signed 2 but I terminated 1 of those. Then I decided I don't want to keep doing that, so I let him keep Devlin.
