Shape: Control, balanced, balanced, balanced. Defense: Balanced, Own Half, Normal, Yes, No Attack: mixed, mixed, mixed. Get players with high pace. They will rule the league, especially attackers and left/right midfielders. You can usually find good players on Free Transfer. Ignore finances as you won't get fired from having the wage budget in minus.

SI Staff Marc Vaughan Posted May 8, 2019 SI Staff Share Posted May 8, 2019 In the lower leagues I tend to concentrate on the physical side of the game, its easiest to grind to promotion by finding players who are very fit and fast ... then worry about the technical side of the game afterwards. (this is true somewhat in real-life, you'll find quite a few strikers who are dominant in the lower leagues but simply aren't intelligent or technical enough to be able to cut it in the higher divisions)
JimJobs2
Also, I know it is very cliche with long ball but it does seem to work. As Marc says, the technical side is lacking at the lower level. Your team is not likely to be great at build up play and the opposition will be generally poor at defending, so direct long play is the way to go.
