youth training

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if you guys set your intensity level to normal or double for your youth players? I have a pretty big u19 squad (33 players) so most of the players get rotated a fair amount. I currently have players set to normal intensity but wondering if double intensity would actually have a dramatic impact on their development. They both show a workload of medium for players.

edit: obviously i'm worried about the players picking up extra injuries

It all depends.

If you have a player who is utterly professional, highly determined and not injury prone then double intensity can be fine.

On the other hand if a player starts moaning about his workload and/or is picking up injuries left, right and centre you may want to ease off.

alright. well i have a few with decent personalities/determination but i'm not very good at mentoring tbh. gonna put them all on double and see what feedback i get
