goqs06
Now, nobody wants to start their career in the bootroom or even take up the position of scout, but the option to assume the role of reserve team coach at club level would be interesting. This will bring a host of unique challenges. For instance, you could end up in a spat with the first-team manager because he's poached your latest wonderkid, or find yourself tasked with easing the club's star player back to fitness following a lengthy injury. Then there's the possibility of making the step up and becoming interim manager of the first team in the event of the head coach leaving. Impressing in the role could land you it on a permanent basis, or at least help you score a higher-profile job elsewhere. Adding more rungs to the career ladder would also make your journey from the doldrums of the lower leagues to the top flight more interesting. For instance, you're unlikely to land a Premier League job after impressing in League Two, but perhaps one of the top-flight clubs would be willing to take you on as reserve team boss.
