[Discussion] Affiliated/Owned Teams

I had an idea that I though might add an interesting element to the game. 

Teams like Man City and Ajax both have owned clubs (Melbourne City, New York, Ajax Cape Town, etc). These teams act as both feeders clubs and allow them to boost their popularity worldwide.

I think it would make a good addition to the game if a team was able to purchase a team in a relatively small country (perhaps if they are indebted) and once your team had the balance of a team like City's the board would offer the option to purchase one of these clubs. The purchased team's last name would be change to match that of the owner, as for any other detail such as the badge I was hoping for suggestions to help make it more viable and realistic. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
