tommysingh
Got this guy in my youth team, but i do not know how i should use him, obviously a player for the future. Can play both CB/RB. 6"7, Not very quick, but great technical stats! I play a high line also. What would you do/ how would you use him?
Skw91
Personally, I'd be inclined to use to him as a centre back because of his height and tackling ability and have a pacier outlet on the wings.
tommysingh
My only problem with him as a CB is his pace, i play a high line so through balls would kill him
lostintravise
I'd be inclined to train quickness (hopefully get him up to 14-15 in acceleration/pace) and then play him as a central defender because of that height. Wouldn't work bad as a fullback either (because of the crossing and dribbling) though, if you can get that quickness up.
SpartyOn
My only problem with him as a CB is his pace, i play a high line so through balls would kill him That would be as big a problem if not worse at fullback where he'd have to mark pacy wingers. Either way quickness is a good training focus. I would use him as a DC though. I haven't played enough FM14 to know if this is still the case, but on FM13 the 3 most important attributes for a center back were jumping, heading and jumping. I had a giant ogre with poor mental stats, little skill and no pace who would average about a 7.8 rating every year just because he had 20 jumping and 18 heading and he cleared every cross that came in. crowsus
Yeah I vote CB, his other stats are pretty good so train him on quickness for as long as you can to get that up a bit, if he can get to 12 for both and then get better positioning and anticipation you should be sorted. A good option at fullback as well considering he's natural there, but the height and lack of speed would definitely put him at CB for me.
