Needlessly conceding corners

My defenders constantly head the ball to corners even when they're not pressured. It's very common to see a cross come in and the defender turning to flick it behind, even when it would have been just as easy, and way smarter, to just head it up the pitch. It's as if the game knows it has to reach an average amount of corners every game to keep up with real life stats and forces players to make idiotic decisions to accommodate that goal. It would be a nice thing to fix, SI, cause it's really annoying to watch and severely hampers the suspension of disbelief we all go through when watching the play on the pitch. Thanks.

I don't get this much in my game. Of course sometimes, but nothing excessive. I do concede a lot FROM corners though, but it's probably down to how my defensive set pieces are set up. Still can't figure out how though.
