  1. Hi. I did try looking through the forum, but there's a helluvalot here! So apologies if these general questions have (likely) been asked many times. Is it ever ok to change roles in a tactic - eg AF to poacher etc? so long as you keep attack or support etc? I know it's recommended that you don't let the "Assistant Manager" do tactical briefings or opposition instructions and change the tactic, but how about the advice he gives throughout a game - try direct passing, man-mark/close down etc? Do they change things for the worse? I'm still on FM20! Cheers Ray
  2. I was doing great with this in FM20 but my only pc that could handle the graphics has died! I don't have a computer that can handle anything above FM19 now, so I wonder if Knap did this for FM19, or if anyone can direct me to an actual complete list of Knap tactics for FM19, as I can't find one?! Cheers Guys.
  3. Thanks for all your help guys. Unfortunately I've lost the will to push on with this. The laptop is being returned, and I'm going a step further back - to FM19, which works fine on my desktop! Cheers Ray
  4. Regrettably this proved a false dawn. Started to shake and wheeze on match replays. The suppliers say "Thank you for clarifying, I had a hunch that would be it! While the laptop you purchased does meet the minimum requirements for FM it does not meet the needs to watch matches. FM is deceptive in that you can play it on rather basic laptops as long as you only play it like a database/text format game. As soon as you want to watch matches you would require something with dedicated graphics. The reason the screen breaks/flickers is because it cannot handle this portion of the game." How about this? It's a desktop. but that's ok. Description says it can run FM22! https://www.stonerefurb.co.uk/stone-core-gaming-pc Cheers
  5. Working great so far. Never been able to play the game with graphics set at 'very high' before! Excellent all-round laptop too. Many Thanks again for your help Kev
  6. Have gone for the £300 one, Will let you know! Many Thanks for your help. Much appreciated
  7. Great, thanks. So I really need something like an Intel Core i5 processor? Maybe the likes of this? https://recommerceit.co.uk/products/dell-latitude-7480-i5-6300u-2-40ghz-16gb-256gb-ssd-windows-10-pro?currency=GBP&variant=47254045229370&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=Google Shopping&stkn=30721c626cdb&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAiP2tBhBXEiwACslfnq78BRfvG3911TFW1EwT2XUbCDCVNfSMyfE9qy1GMktS3BtSjdJ6XBoCJjYQAvD_BwE Not necessarily this exact model, but equivalent?

  9. FM20 (?!) Laptop? I appreciate I'll be a bit off the wall here, but bear with. I've just recently got back into FM, having been turned off by the hugely complicated later versions of the game (xgoals?! etc). I've gone back to FM20, the last one I really enjoyed. Problem is my newer computers (with Windows 11) have a lot of trouble playing it (my older ones managed no problem) and the 3D match play is very annoying. Really would have thought modern PCs and laptops would be up to it. Clearly the problem is the graphics cards. I'm not much of a tech wiz, and google searches for laptops with Intel GMA X4500, NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT or equivalent don't produce much joy. The computers that were recommended for FM20 at the time will be long gone by now. Since this would be used almost entirely just for FM, I don't want to break the bank for it. Can it be done for around £250 or less? Any suggestions for specific models, or just advice for searching would be much appreciated. Refurbished etc would be fine. Cheers
