@gggfunk Let me know who you chose College has been a good first season for me don't read on if you don't want to know anything about the team. . Well It has been a busy week for me IRL so didn't have a lot of time to play but I have finally finished my first season as College manager. Starting with 8 first team players and very little wage budget I knew there was a hard road ahead. But my transfers below (Highlighted)were a mix of squad players mostly loans and 3 free transfers which I was able to make wages for by shifting on 3 foreign players which there seemed to be an abundance of at the club and needed sorting out. If you are not aware in Gib you have to have 5 x trained in Gibraltar players in the matchday squad, which I knew however I got caught out as one of my Gibraltar players was trained in Spain and counts a s a foreign player. All my loan players required no wage contribution which was a godsend of which 1 turned out to be a brilliant player, 1 was good in patches and the other 3 were useful backups. My transfers were pretty successful and the young AMR which I signed forced his way to a lot of games forcing me to setup one of two ways. This one I used most often is the 4312 changing to a 424 when using my young AMR So how did I get on... Well I started like a train I thought wow I am going to romp this league. 5-0 v Europe point (who's manager got sacked and turned it around) 3-3 against St Joesph's from 3-0 down then I smashed the Imps 6-0 it was beautiful, I thought I was going to walk it but I realised they had played 2 games in 6 days then played me and I hadn't played so I was just fresher, that combined with me being expected to finish last meant teams rotate against you which made it a little easier to start. My first bit of reality was a 5-2 Humbling at Magpies who are one of the top teams. I had mid table results after that losing to at the time bottom of the league Europa Point (that was them just turning it around) but also a huge result against St Josephs and Lincoln again made me think I could be a top 4 team. With my excitement growing of a possible decent finish the highly anticipated youth preview came along and pretty much said I have got 1 legged blind kids coming through However when they came I was able to sign 3 up which would be useful for my team in the future I really didn't expect that cant wait to see what they produce when they say it is a good intake. Moving back to League business after the Lynx game there I lost to Mons Calpe and Lions respectively I went on a 7 game win streak which culminated in having 4 league games left and being in the Rock cup final. This is how things stood and a win in either game against The Imps and I would be happy either top of the league with destiny in my hand or a cup winner. In the first game the league game which was the league game I went up 3 times to be pegged back....... However God loves a trier and on the 87th minute Penalty to College 75 up steps my sub who rarely plays because he has best pen attributes but has missed the one he has already taken this season instead of leaving it to our goal a game striker...You guessed it!!!!! The donkey hit the weakest pen straight down the centre, I was fuming I couldn't change it pre. Advantage the Imps. The cup however was a different game the Imps were better and after being 1-0 up in the first half I ended up 2-1 down to a Caballero double finishing me off in the 80th minute.............. Or so I thought I went all out attack and scored and 87th equaliser to pull them back. I didn't come off attack I had the momentum and had opportunities all through Extra time getting to the 122 minute had a corner keeper was up as i was going for it shot at goal deflected wide another corner ticking onto the 123rd minute header at the back post caught and held by the Imps keeper, we go to pens. this time the player who donked in the league wasn't on and my star striker was there to take the second pen. I know you are all ahead of me by now, Yes he was the only one to miss my 25 goals in 24 game striker missed his pen. Focus back to the league I beat probably the next best team after the Imps in Magpies but the Imps also won not only did they win that they won there next game but lost the last game. So if I won my 2 games I win the league. Well St Josephs stopped that, another missed Pen from me this time at the start of the second half at 0-0 and them scoring with their only shot on target after I went attacking to get the win. If that wasn't enough the last game of the Season against Man 62, 2-0 up in 17 minutes and a rotated in player gets sent of in the 29th minute. they get and score a pen then equalise. I am so thankful it didn't come down to that last game or I would have smashed my laptop Round up for my Season 2nd in the league and runner up in the cup after needing to avoid being bottom I was happy but it was bittersweet. I really like a few of my players the young LM Bautista and RM McCafferty especially however my striking sensation is off not wanting to renew his contract which is the same for a few players so a further rebuild with no money and small squad with a shot at having a couple of games in Europe are on the horizon. Hello everyone, Firstly I am new to the site however not new to FM (started 97/98) after the big change over I never played for a while and re started sort of about 2011 but really enjoyed 15 and 17 and played regularly since. I don't often play as a big team (so cant manage my team Aberdeen which also means I haven't really managed in Scotland). I enjoy playing positive football, to a certain amount of rules which I will mention below for this save. So what is my save? Well my plan is to start in Gibraltar at the team predicted to finish last College 75. I know the rules are you need to play a certain amount of Gib players (which will hold me back especially in Europe if I make it there). The reason for the question marks is Is the save really a LLM challenge it is the worst team in the worst playable league but there is only 1 division. What if I get sacked??? I will move to Scotland and for the first time manage someone from the second division who is looking. I will have to apply for the role and reset my thinking but hopefully this doesn't happen. Or try applying for the next worse Gib team if free. Aims for this save: 1 - Get into European places, 2 - Win the League/Domestic Cup, 3 - Get into European group stage (probably Conference league), 4 - Get Out of a European Group Stage, 5 Make the Champions League group stage 6 - Sign and develop 18 yo with potential to hopefully become HG at club and Play for Gib 18yo to be able to play for Gibraltar (most likely Spanish players), 7 - Naturally take over the Gib national team (alongside club team) and take advantage of my players coming through ( the national manager is old but doesn't get sacked may take 5 -10 years for him to retire.) Not a Build a Nation really as I don't care how the other teams get on however I hope my "winning" drags them on and if/when I become Gib manager we have a decent team. Rules for me to follow - Set up Vanilla Game - No badges or experience - Attribute masking will be on - No use of the editor which I don't have anyway - Rules Recruiting - Only through scout reports or DOF no using player search. - Affiliate club is allowed - I will abuse loans if possible Holidaying - Normally I do holiday through parts but this time I will be going for 0 days holidaying. Staff - I will only recruit through job adverts until I have a technical director then I will hand over all that to him that is what he is there for. Training - Team training Is left to the coaches that is why I employ them, Individual training I do because I see the bigger picture and know how I want to mould my players. Club - No moving unless sacked, then as before I will go to Scotland and try there or see if the second worst team in Gib are looking and apply Tactics - Can use pre-set tactic (not saying I will) If you got this far thanks for reading and I will post updates as I go, Tell me what you think is there something else I should add or take away? HI @vikeologistby preset i just mean one you can pic when it says set up tactic, I wont be downloading a tactic. O hi didn't realise there was a big thing about it I wont ask what are the extra rules I would have to follow or do I not want to know? Should i have posted elsewhere? Only 1 at a time but i am now bored of my one and going to move on but not sure what to so haunting the message boards for an idea

You need to be more attacking than that especially playing a TF, at lower league you need to score to win in this league because you are not keeping them out. Unless your team is a lot better than those around I cant see you winning the league, but I play attacking football at all levels even if just promoted because it is how I like to watch football (obviously being an Aberdeen fan) so I would at least have it positive if not attacking. Do you have a second striker, or a AMC Shadow Striker? change your midfield to either 2 DM or 2 cm and use 2 strikers or 1 AMC and a SS? Then fix your roles. One of your CM/DM need to be industrious ball winner other whatever your best one plays. Plus you don't really have anyone crossing to your TM (who I presume is lengthy) Push a WB on more or change one of the IF to a W. I hope this helps people may disagree with me but I find attacking is better than defence up until the championship. And Lastly good luck and have fun experimenting obviously you need the right players to play the way I like and you might not have them.
